Godlo Everyone! haha my mission president called me last saturday and the first thing out of his mouth was. “when i hang up this phone you are going to forget this conversation ever happened.” haha so ill just leave it at that, because i forgot…
Had another TERRIFIC week! Elder Udall and i combined both our areas this week b/c our trail missionaries went home early before leaving to their new full time missions (Washington, Federal Way & California, Irvine). so we have been basically covering the entire Kimberly Stake which has been a bit of a throw back cause my first area i had 6 wards and covered that entire stake haha so it’s been nuts, but we kinda knew what to expect.
Today we found out about transfers! Elder Udall is going to be district leader!! i told him, but he didn’t believe me. i am going to be taking over another Ward in addition the the three i already have and i am going to have Elder Merkley as my new companion. i know nothing about him and neither does anyone else i’ve talked to, but i’m really excited!
The wards i cover are doing AMAZING we have 1 baptism set in first ward – four set in third ward – will be setting one in sixth ward this week – and a new ward this transfer!
we have a baptismal service this saturday night at 8 pm for the frames which is super exciting!
something that i have been spending a lot of time on this week is studying spiritual gifts and i have just been thinking a lot about the blessings and patience God has for us and have been coming to a much deeper understanding of how we are so blessed, and so dont deserve it. The first thing Moses teaches us after speaking with God is that man is nothing. We are all unworthy before Him and Oh how great is the nothingness of the children of men, for we are less than the dust of the earth. We must always remember our own nothingness and His goodness towards us unworthy creatures. As we remember these things and humble ourselves even in the depths of humility and call upon the lord daily, then we will be filled with the love of God and will grow in the knowledge of that which is just and true.
We have all sinned, and come short of the glory of God, but we may be justified freely by his grace through the enabling power of the atonement of Jesus Christ. The atonement is the single greatest event ever to have taken place, as well as the greatest act of love that has ever been given from both the Father and the Son. For our redeemer came by the will of the Father.
I love you all and pray that we maynever lose sight of that which is greatest above all, our Savior and His most sacred Atonement.
