REMEMBER October 3, 2016

Heavenly Father, are You really there? Elder Rasband said that when we are in the midst of challenges it is difficult to REMEMBER. He encouraged us to recall, many have forgotten, those times that our testimonies prospered, REMEMBER!
Elder Rasband mentioned again and again one word, REMEMBER! He encouraged us to write in our journals. He reminded us of Nephi’s perilous journey to obtain the plates that they might REMEMBER!
Please do not forget! Joseph recorded his testimony, and as Oliver struggled the Lord reminded him; “cast your mind upon the night that you cried unto me in your heart… Did I not speak peace to your mind concerning the matter? What greater witness can you have than from God?” Will you REMEMBER?
While Elder Rasband was speaking I wrote in my study journal that i NEED to write a history of my mission more fully. so that we may say, “And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.”
May we write so that one day when we or others face the mists of darkness, which will surely come, we can REMEMBER the times when we cried unto the Lord and received peace. May we write so that one day when perhaps a child, even your own might be struggling, you can REMEMBER and share the revelatory impressions the Lord has blessed you with. May we write to fulfill the commandment to record every night the feelings of our hearts.
When you ask the question, Heavenly Father, are You really there, I pray you will open your journal and REMEMBER the time He spoke to you, the time that you knew, He is there!
(words taken from my mission president, modified by myself, to save time)
Love you all and pray that we may always REMEMBER who we are, why we are here, and why our Lord intends for us to become!
Elder Wade
